What this site is

A prediction board for The International and the Dota 2 season around it: a rating for every team, a probability for every match derived from that rating, and — once a map is being played — a reading of that map from its own net-worth lead and clock. Plus live scores, live drafts, and a place to watch several streams at once.

It is free. It carries no advertising, sells nothing, and takes no payments.

The numbers are a model, not advice

Every probability here comes out of a model — a team rating fit on past professional matches and rolled forward through a bracket. Models are wrong in ways nobody can list in advance, and this one you can edit yourself: drag a power dial and every number on the board moves. That is the point of it, and it is also the reason no figure here should be read as a fact about the future.

Nothing here is betting, investment or financial advice. This site takes no bets, holds no money, quotes no odds, and sends you nowhere to place one. Every number on it is a statement about a game of Dota and about nothing else.

If you act on something you read here, that is your decision and your risk. Gamble responsibly, and only where it is legal for you to do so.

Not affiliated with Valve

This is an independent, unofficial site. It is not made by, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected with Valve Corporation.

Dota 2, The International, and the associated names, logos and in-game art belong to Valve. Hero portraits, item icons and match data taken from Valve’s services are used here to describe matches, and remain theirs.

Other people's data and streams

Most of what is on the page was gathered by someone else, and belongs to them:

• matches, drafts and player histories from OpenDota;
• live match state and game art from Valve’s own services;
• rosters, results and player photographs from Liquipedia;
• broadcast channels and video from Twitch.

Each of those has its own terms, and where this site shows their data those terms travel with it. Streams play inside Twitch’s own player and the film behind the front page inside YouTube’s: watching either happens on their platform, under their rules. Nothing is re-hosted here.

Your account

Signing in with Google is the only way in. Use your own account, and do not go looking for parts of the site or the data behind it that the sign-in does not open for you.

Automated scraping and hammering the endpoints are not welcome — this runs on a small budget, and one impolite crawler is the whole of it. Access can be withdrawn if the site is being used in a way that breaks it for everyone else.

It can change, and it can vanish

This is a hobby project kept up by one person alongside other work. Pages, numbers and whole features can change, break or be removed without notice, and the site can go away entirely.

There is no promise that it will be up, that the data on it is current, or that anything you see today will be there tomorrow. It is not a service anybody has undertaken to provide you.

No warranty, no liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Nothing on it is promised to be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss arising from using this site or from a decision made on the basis of what it showed — money staked on a match, in particular.

Changes to this page

These terms change when the site does. There is no notification when they do; the date at the top is how you tell. What the site does with data is a separate page — the privacy notice.
